OILERS VS BLACKHAWKS GAME SETS NHL 50/50 RECORD BY A BIG MARGIN

The Edmonton Oilers and Chicago Blackhawks played in game two Monday night. While the Oilers won decisively to even the series at one a piece, it seemed that as much if not more of the conversation was regarding the game's 50/50 draw.

Due to no fans in the building, 50/50 draws are now online for NHL games, which has led to many more tickets being sold. Last night's game between the Oilers and Blackhawks set an all time NHL 50/50 record, with the jackpot finishing at over $3.2 million. This record destroyed the previous all-time jackpot, which was the Canucks in 2018 with slightly over $1.4 million. As of this morning, the winning ticket has not yet been announced.

While it remains to be seen whether or not future Oilers games in this postseason get anywhere near that big, the next chance will come Wednesday night when they take on the Blackhawks in game three. The series, as mentioned above, is tied at one a piece. The Blackhawks took the opening game by a score of 6-4, but the Oilers, led by a McDavid hattrick, responded yesterday with a 6-3 win.
