Corey Perry marks major milestone in Dallas win over Calgary

14 novembre 2019
Corey Perry skated in his 1000th career game on Wednesday night, as the Dallas Stars defeated the Calgary Flames 3-1 at the Saddledome.

Corey Perry was selected 28th overall by the Anaheim Ducks in the 2003 NHL Entry, and since then he has always made himself known on the ice, whether it's by scoring a goal or getting under his opponents skin with a chirp or giving his opponent a slash to the back of the knees.

He has recorded 374 goals and 780 points in those 1000 games, while also racking up 1116 penalty minutes. His best season came in 2010-11 when he was awarded the Hart Memorial trophy and the Maurice "Rocket" Richard Trophy. He finished that season with a career high 50 goals and 98 points, and was also named to the NHL First All-Star team.

Perry is also a member of the Triple Gold Club; a club of coaches and players who have won the Stanley Cup, Olympic Gold, and World Hockey Championship gold. Perry became the 27th member when he won gold with Team Canada at the World Hockey Championship in 2016. That was on top of winning the Stanley Cup in 2007 with Anaheim Ducks, and winning Olympic gold with Team Canada in 2010 and again in 2014.

Perry will be recognized in a pre-game ceremony on Nov. 23 against the Chicago Blackhawks.
