Ron MacLean denies report he's leaving HNIC

15 novembre 2019
It is being reported that former Coach's Corner co-host Ron MacLean is considering leaving Hockey Night in Canada completely. According to Steve Simmons of the Toronto Sun, MacLean would like to continue hosting Hometown Hockey, but wants to distance himself from HNIC after the whole Don Cherry controversy. Check it out:

However, MacLean himself has responded to Simmons tweet and denies he's leaving HNIC.

After Cherry's rant last weekend on immigrants and poppies, MacLean publicly apologized on Hometown Hockey the next night calling Cherry's comments "flat-out wrong." Cherry subsequently said he was disappointed in MacLean and that his apology buried him. He added he still considers MacLean and friend. Cherry was let go from Sportsnet over the incident.

"Ron and Don" had been hosting Coach's Corner together on Hockey Night in Canada since 1986.
